No doubt it's a delicious cigar, but having said that it is utterly overpriced! There are cigars at around the 5€ to 10€ price range (some are even lower than that) with a very similar aroma profile that do not taste any less. So what are we going to do about this one? It is undoubtedly a good cigar, an iconic at that, but if you compare it to others and assess/look at it in the grand scheme of things, it just doesn`t stick out as anything special. So I would say, try it if you can, enjoy it, but be open about other cigars because there are plenty of good/better ones out there for a lot less money. In my humble opinion Cuba has to change its price policy, it just doesnt make sense when you compare it to other regions like Nicaragua or the Domenican Republic etcetera and how they deliver quality products with a high consistency at much lower prices. There are few arguments left for Cuban cigars, to be honest it is mostly sentimental values/memories that keep one coming back to them. And for others it is most likely the high status and branding of Cuban cigars that makes them interesting to them, the stereotypical elitism at play if you ask me. But in the end it is a question of supply and demand; as long as we the consumers continue to pay for overpriced cigars, nothing will change. Let us hope that someday people will wake up and stop being exploited by those companies and investors who are seeking higher and higher return of investments... Then finally we can get appropriate/fair pricing in relation to quality, let us hope...
