Davidoff’s aromatic «Primeros» are light and mild in flavour and besides being the perfect cigar with which the inexperienced smoker can have a foretaste of the pleasures of the Davidoff lines, they are also great for those experienced smokers who have very little time to spare, but still do not want to forgo the pleasure of a mild Davidoff. One special feature of this cigar in the Petit Panetela format is its filler, which consists of short filaments of the tobacco leaves used for the Davidoff «No. 2». Being hand-blended, this filler develops an especially aromatic and harmonious flavour.
Very well-rolled; intense, full smoke with earthy-spicy aromas in the very good draw; a rather light, well-balanced cigar, mild and rich in its aromas with a lot of support in the variety of tastes in the mild-spicy, earthy texture.
This is a bold smoke that needs a rich, gutsy red wine to tame its considerable flavor. Good after a heavy meal.
Judging from its dark color and prelight aroma, I thought the wrapper was sugar-cured. If so, they got it right. This would be a very good cigar for those who like strong stogies.
I had high hopes from the looks and construction of this robusto, but the flavor was not as impressive. Well-rolled, looks Cuban.
I wasn't wild about the light and grassy taste you see so often in mild Dominicans, but it's one to behold. A real looker.
These are sure to please one and all, though those who prefer strong cigars will want these early in the day.
A poor start slowly improved, but never fully developed. Perhaps some aging will improve this otherwise well-made cigar.
The taste is pretty one-dimensional, with a dry finish. No strong feelings one way or the other. OK daytime smoke.
