Humidor Short Dog

Oh my, Vega Fina, what are you doing to me. I've tried some really dull smokes from Vega Fina, but obviously I haven't tried their best. 2 hours of awesomeness. The 1998 VF54 is simply delicious. So creamy. So oily. The stickyest of the yckiest. Excellent smoke. And for the price? A clear 9/10. A good blend of soil, toast, leather, some grass and some wood but all so oily and creamy and full of smoke that it makes you say "hell yea baby!". Production wise it is A++. Very well rolled, easy to light up and smoke and an awesome ash built. All in all it felt like the time when I've met a girl back in the days. She was wearing cheap jeans, an old blouse and a common lipstick but when the spark started the burn.... it burned like crazy. Same with this beauty here. Will smoke it again and definitely I recommend it to anyone. Peace and love!

Now this is a really well done cigar. Tasty too. 8.5/10 - about 100 minutes of smoking pleasure. Very well built, impeccable burn, nice ash collection and plenty of smoke to enjoy. Taste wise it is not out of this world, but top quality indeed. Nice blend of strong punchy aromas of toast, leather, soil and some hints of vanilla even. Even the label is awesome. Somehow reminded me of some AJ Fernandez like El Gorbernador (which is less than half the price). Speaking of which - price is not justified though. Worth a try though. I d like to smoke it again - true that - but won't pay 20 for it. Should I recommend it? If you're good with money definitely worth a try. Peace and love!

A very good cigar for the price. About 90 minutes to smoke. Well built, nice burn, good ash collection and a nice taste. Soil, leather, toast, hints of coffee, grass and wood. All in a nice blend. I'd say a good, unpretentious everyday smoke. All in all it feels like your favourite juice. Maybe not the most complex of drinks, but does the job right every time. I will smoke it again and I do recommend it especially to beginners. Peace and love!

I've smoked this for about 80 minutes. 6.5/10. Ok construction, ok burn (not very even), ok draw and ok amount of smoke. Taste? Okish. Nothing special at all. Toast and leather are predomninant. But is ok enough? Especially for a cigar that cost more than 4 Eur? All in all it feels like your life feels like when everything is warm, safe and comfortable, but serious plans and actions are missing. It feels like an unaccomplished cigar. Will try other Camachos, but this one I can't really recommend. Peace and love!

Meh. A dullish smoke. About 80 minutes smoking time. Can't complain really, but there was nothing special about it. Built well, decent burn, easy to smoke. A bit creamy, leatherish taste, some hay and soil. Can see the point of smoking it once, but would be hard to see me having this in my humidor again. All in all it felt like those apples you buy these days in the supermarket. They look good but taste wise...absolutely nothing special. For me one time was enough. Could I recommend it? Not bad at all. 8.5/10. A bit too pricy for what you get but still a good stick. Smoking duration approx 70 minutes. Wood and nut are predominant. A bit of fruit hints and grass and mud can be felt too. Decently built and also easy to smoke. Nothing astonishing, but worth a try. All in all it felt like a weekend getaway. Not quite the full holiday but refreshing enough. Would I smoke it again? Not sure. Would I recommend it? For at least a smoke yes. Peace and love!

Amazing stick. Excellent smoke. Too bad it burns so fast. Smoked for about 45 minutes. I am starting to believe that AJ Fernandez will be at the top of my day to day smokes. Very well made, easy to smoke, easy to draw, creamy, with plenty of smoke and a mix of aromas that is simply...original. A bit fruity, a bit spicy, coffee, chocolate, hay, toast. It's all there combined to perfection. All in all it feels like a good night out when you are out of town and the right dosage of enthusiasm, mystery, fun and socialising is just right. I will try more from the Viva la Vida collection and I fully recommend this. 9/10 and if it would be at least 20% cheaper - a 9.5/10 easy. Peace and love!

Joya de Nicaragua simply never let me down. 8.5/10 considering the price. 60 minutes of simple, relaxed, yummi smoking enjoyment. It is a light, unpretentious cigar, but at the same time it delivers with a pleasant hay-cream taste, very well rolled tobacco and a constant, balanced burn. Ash collection is not the best ever, but who cares. And for the price - a steal I tell you. All in all it feels like a lazy Sunday in bed next to your loved one watching crap on TV but enjoying each second of it. I recommend it especially to beginners and yes I will smoke this stick again for sure. Peace and love!

Hmm a bit of a disappointment. Smoked it for about 80 minutes. Or at least I've tried to. Very hard to smoke. The draw is bad. The tobacco is over condensed. I had to stick it from the bottom to be able to draw decently. Too bad because it looks well rolled, the tobacco mixture is good in taste and flavour but... when you can't smoke it right you can't enjoy it so...no. All in all it felt like having to eat uncracked nuts without a cracker... Cannot recommend it but would continue to try other My Father cigars. Peace and love!

Toasty, creamy, earthy. 8.5/10 and if it would have been a bit cheaper could have been an easy 9/10. A beautiful stick, with nice and good quality labels, which delivers on all fronts. Easy to light up and to smoke, constant even burn and great ash collection. Construction is a la carte and the taste - although nothing extraordinary - is decent enough to place this stick in the category of "everyday cigar indulgence". All in all it feel like my favourite breakfast. Nothing fancy, but consistent, tasty enough and hearty. I will try some other sticks from this brand for sure and I fully recommend at least one try for this one. Peace and love!

Meh. I was expecting more from a well established brand. About 90 minutes of smoking. It is well done. The label and cover makes it look cool and all, but it has more talking of the talk than walking of the walk. For the price it is a 7.5/10. Spicy, toasty, hay, wood. All there, but the mix is nothing special. All in all it feels like a beautiful bird that....cannot fly. I will try other My Father cigars for sure, but this I don't think so. Could I recommend it? A strong little stick. Tasty too. 30 minutes smoking time. Rolled to perfection. Taste is punchy and "serious" - also a strong cigar. Tough aromas, but good. Spicy. Woody. Earthy. Forest. Hay. All there. Amount of smoke is impressive for its size and the burning is perfect. All in all it feels like a father who's taking the father role serious. Tough, but good. I will explore the Davidoff world some more and I fully recommend it too. Pricy? Yes. But quality is there 100%. Peace and love!

Now this is a stick. 8.5/10. 100 minutes of smoking time. Aroma wise it's nothing out of the ordinary but definitely a pleasant taste. Not too strong and a bit spicy when blown off the nose. Well rolled and a very good burn. Easy to light. Now the big plus: the amount of smoke. Oh my oh my it's like a chimney and that is absolutely great in my opinion. All in all it feels like those Italian pizzas. Simple, but 100% on point. I would smoke it again and I recommend at least one try. A bit pricy though for the overall quality. A well rolled stick. Smoked it for about 100 minutes. Burn was even, easy to light, easy to smoke and it provides a great amount of smoke. Now the taste. Interesting combination. Felt very grassy-woody. That was a bit too much for me, but that is only a personal remark. If you like grass-wood-pepper in a strong punchy mix - this cigar is for you. The label can be improved (was impossible to take out without damaging the cigar a bit). Still - a very well rolled cigar for the price. All in all it felt like going to a halloween party with the Christmas mood in mind. I won't try it again since it's not my piece of cake but I would recommend it for sure if you like strong flavours.
