Humidor Short Dog

The stick looks like a bum, but it behaves and tastes upper mid class for about 90 minutes. I was afraid of its construction, but was impressed by how well this cigar is built. A bit tough to light up, but then it burns like a charm. Amount of smoke is optimal and the draw easy. Not a light cigar, and the taste is somewhat Oscar Valladares specific - which means it's hard to describe but quite unique. For the price I'd say it's not the best option out there, but whenever you want to hold a creatively rolled stick in your hands and taste something... different, it works. All in all it reminded me of my getting high days - nothing productive or concrete, but definitely something out of the everyday. I wouldn't recommend this as the first 10 sticks you smoke, so not so much for beginners. Otherwise - at least a try for sure. Peace and love!

If not the best cigar I've smoked so far - one of the best for sure. There's 2 Eur chocolate that tastes 2 Eur and there's 20 Eur chocolate that tastes 20 Eur and that is for a reason. Same is the case here. A small, pricey cigar, but damn it's fine from the very first draw to the last. smoking time approx 40 minutes. Very easy to light up, easy to smoke and the burn is even and just perfect. Each draw is satisfactory - with plenty of smoke, creaminess and a blend of aromas that tickles the senses in an almost erotic way. Tough flavours like soil, leather, nut and wood go together in an experience that's smooth, soft and warm on your mouth and throat. Construction is close to perfection (what is perfect?) too. All in all - it feels like the first time you've experienced a Michelin star restaurant. Your senses makes you want to have more money, so you could enjoy this much more often. Also a great choice for beginners. Actually a strong recommendation to a beginner - to see what a proper cigar can do. My score is 9.2/10 and yes I will smoke this again and looking forward to try the other formats in the range.

El Viejo what a wonderful stick you are! I was not expecting much from this unknown (to me) brand with a mediocre price but wow I was blown away. Maybe the beginner in me was thrilled with the airy, puffy, light feeling of the whole experience. Very easy to light, to pull the smoke, to enjoy the flavours. It's a straight to the point cigar. The amount of smoke is plenty and super creamy - even a bit oily I d say. Main aroma is fruity, with some hints of dried fruits, a mild sweetness is present the whole time and a bit of light peppery feel is present too without bothering the mouth at all. All in all it felt like the early evening of the day before the summer holidays in my childhood: light, safe, sweet, full of optimism and enjoyment. Will I smoke it again? 100%. Do I recommend it? Clear yes especially to beginners. 8.8/10. Peace and love!

After trying another Aroma del Caribe which I loved, this one landed on my humidor yesterday. 90 minutes of smoking time and although a quite good taste - a mild disappointment in the smoking experience. Looks like it's perfectly built, smells good and the aroma blend is there. Ash building is good too. The amount of smoke though is not right and the draw makes it a hustle to enjoy. All in all it felt like a gorgeous holiday home that's yours for the weekend but sometimes it's raining in paradise too, so it gets hard to fully enjoy. 6/10. Maybe my stick was not right and others are better rolled. For the taste I'd recommend it but not for the smoking experience. Peace and love!

They talk the talk but don't walk the walk yet. Expected a lot and got a lot, but not fulfilling my expectations. Duration approx 100 minutes. Wonderful aroma mix. You can feel the quality of it from the first draws to the very last, BUT. Had to relight couple of times and the amount of smoke (although creamy enough and delicious) wasn't satisfactory. All in all it felt like a long term tease that finally consumes and reality strikes: the fantasy was better although the act was awesome. Considering the price - I give it an 8 out of 10. Would I smoke it again? Probably not to be honest. Would I recommend it? Not sure. Maybe once to try it out. Peace and love!

Finally a good one from VegaFina. Duration time approx 90 minutes. Very well built, good burn and nice ash collection. Aroma is smooth, easy to the senses, but enough to stimulate you. Creamy, fruity, coffees, soil. Nice blend. Amount of smoke could be much better, but not a big problem. All in all smoking this feels like a good scratch on the back when it itches. Definitely satisfying, but the itch persists a bit (lack of good amount of smoke) and finally you scratch it off and say "damn this was good". Would I smoke it again? Might do. Do I recommend it? Paradisio indeed. Excellent stick. Not the best construction ever, but the tobacco quality and the aroma mix is high class. Chocolatey, slightly peppery, dried fruits, creamy and some leather in an awesome mix. Burning is not even, but not problematic. Draw is easy, the cigar is not super strong but the amount of smoke is just right. Duration approx 120 minutes. All in all it feels like a sexy plus size lady that knows exactly what she wants from you and you meet her in the right moment - when you know exactly what you want from her:) Will smoke again for sure and definitely am recommending it for at least one try. No bueno. Looks good and decently built, but the taste - at least for me - was weird. Started good and ended good with chocolate coffee leather aromas, but most of the smoke felt very bitter. All in all it felt like going on a date where the packaging looks right, but the delivery and the consistency of the person proves out to be shady, only to try and fool you again at the end that the devil is not that black. Won't try again and no recommendation. Peace and love!

Such a tasty cigar, but such a poor "execution". Pity. Smoking time approx 70 minutes. Great coffee aroma and some chocolate, toast, leather - taste wise everything is spot on! The problem begins with the building. A light stick, which produces much too little smoke for what it should. Ash building is comsi comsa, while the consistency of the stick is too low. Could use more tobacco leaves and this would have been an A++. All in all it feels like dealing with a person that is super smart IQ wise, but a careless fool when it comes to personal relations. Could be great, but...it needs improvement. I will smoke it again because it's tasty. I would recommend it at least once because it's so delicious. I'd pay more to have this stick well done. Cute stick. Smoking time approx 60 minutes. Starts spicy but then becomes creamy nutty and mildly fruity. Not bad at all, yet nothing to make me say wow. Well built, nice good burn and the ash resistance is decent. All in all it feels like on of those late autumn warn afternoons when everything is nice and cozy, the light is golden and you think to self "what a lovely moment to be alive". Would I smoke it again? Maybe. Would I recommend it? Maybe. At least once for sure. Peace and love!

AJ Fernandez makes awesome cigars in the mid-upper segment and this is no exception. Smoking time: approx 90 minutes. Great flavours, nice strength and well built. It burns like it should and the ash collects just fine. Flavours are there from soil to lather, some toast, coffee, nuts and a bit of grass. Creamy hefty smoke makes it a pleasure. BUT - and now the big problem comes. It is a good stick but there is no way in hell this is worth 16 Euros my friends. I have bought a bigger version, a similar edition - The Gobrnador - from Romania with 7 euros per stick and in terms of quality there is absolutely no difference. Even with the extra taxes in De - paying 16 for this is not worth it sorry. All in all it feels like going to a gourmet restaurant which is not even ambitious enough to get a Michelin star, yet good enough to be stamped as gourmet - but they charge as if they were a 2 star Michelin. So sorry but I cannot recommend it for this price although it really is a good stick. If you are rich - go for it definitely. Peace and love!

What a little devil. Delicios from the first to the last draw. Smoking time approx 35 minutes. Excellent burn, well built and ash was resistant enough. Spicy, strong, hay and toast are the most pungent of aromas but there s leather, pepper and soil too. Goes super well with a coffee or a light juice. Because it's so small - would recommend it to beginners so they can feel a taste of what a strong stick is all about. All in all - it felt like doing blow for the first time. You feel the kick immediately and you have mixed feelings about it but in the end you get to absolutely love it. Would I smoke it again? I think yes. Would I recommend it? At least once yes. Punchy smoke. A nice blend of strong flavours for the whole 90 mins of smoking time. Nice burn, built by the book, ash collection is decent and the smoke has the right amount of creaminess. Not the strongest, but it kicks with every puff - in a very good way. All in all it feels like someone screaming "Power to the people" and raising the fist on a rainy autumn morning, when some ignorant fat politician passes by some plebs with his Benz, splashing them without caring. A punchy smoke. To be tried at least once. Definitely not bad. Peace and love!

A good smoke which everyone should try once. Well built, consistent leaves, decent amount of smoke and a very tasty mix of nut, cream, leather and wood. Burn is good and the ash resistance is solid. Not the smoke of the month, but for the money it is a good quality stick. All in all it feels like a pizza that is so well done that you can go for it the next day even if you stuffed your belly with it the evening before. I'll try it again for sure and so should you. Also a big recommendation for beginners since it is light enough. Peace and love!
