Humidor Short Dog

After already reviewing the Belicoso, it was time for the Churchill and yes - also a great cigar. Maybe not as good as Bellicoso, but 100% worth every cent. You get a great smoke for the money. Smoking time: approx 110 minutes. A cigar well made, light to smoke, great amount of smoke, slightly milky - creamy, with a simple array of basic aromas: hay, grass, leather, frost mud. Great for beginners and also because of the price nice for an everyday smoke. Don't expect the ultimate cigar indulging, but hei for this proce range it is A++. All in all - it feels so simple and clean, just like when you were as kid and were pulling down your pants to pee in a field in the nature in the summer time. A simple thing to do, but a great occasion to stop from your wondering and take in the beauty of the day, taste the summer air and ... let loose:) I will smoke it again for sure and I recommend at least one try. I will keep this short because I don't feel it's worth to elaborate. Smoking time: approx 120 minutes. Good construction, decent smoke volume, mediocre creaminess and nutty-coffee-earthy-toasty aromas mixed in the most mediocre way possible. Not bad but definitely not good. For the price - no way. Even the reduced price is "meh" for the quality of the smoke. All in all it felt like entering one of those stores that always say BIG DISCOUNT - LAST SALE BEFORE CLOSING - but they are saying that for 3 years and you think you buy a premium product at a c heap price but you buy mediocre stuff at a mediocre price. Will I ever smoke it again? Hell no. Do I recommend it? You are not losing anything if you say pass to this one. Peace and love!

An interesting mix of aromas in a very well made cigar. Duration: approx 110 minutes. Burns nice, the amount of smoke is perfect, the creaminess is just right, but the ash won't hold too long (which is not a problem). Mild strength and an array of aromas. Pepper is the strongest, but coffee, leather, grass, hay, forest mud - can all be felt either all at once or in different parts of the cigar. Goes great with a nice spirit drink. I'd recommend this one to beginners too. All in all - it feels like a nice meal cooked by your mother. It simply has everything you expect from a good smoke - but in a mellow, cosy way. Loved it. Simple, folk, cigar. Smoking time approx 70 minutes. Tastes good - nice chocolate coffee sweet aromas with a creamy smoke BUT Very bad construction. Turns off easy and the ash collection is a joke. Yet - for the price - and putting aside the frustration of having to light it every 10 minutes - it is a good tasty cigar. All in all - it is the kind of smoke you can indulge into after a long hard working day, at a fair price. This is why I call it a good folk cigar. Will I smoke it again? Probably yes. Do I recommend it? Yes. A tasty cigar for the price. Peace and love!

Fruits, nuts, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, honey, milkiness. All in one strong, beautifully made and super fly cigar. Smoking time: approx 110 minutes. From the first draw two the very last - I felt what I expect from a good cigar: aromas. Ash is not building very well and lighting it at first was a bit of pain in the ass because it was not lighting even, BUT the taste of it made me forget my small frustration pretty quickly. It starts shy - with hints of chocolate, sweetness and fruitiness - but as the smoke progressed, the chocolate and sweetness took over clearly. Amount of smoke is just right and it was creamy enough for my taste. A bit strong for beginners - but still worth a try for sure. All in all - it felt like back then when you were in your 20s and you had a very good night out clubbing - when everything went smooth from the access to the club to the chicas smiling at you because it's simply a gorgeous funky Saturday night out. I fully recommend it for at least one try. I will definitely smoke this one again more than once. A bit overpriced but hei... at least it's quite a smoke so fk it. Peace and love!

Oh wow what a pleasant surprise. Duration time: approx 75 minutes. You might take longer to smoke it, but I like it so much that I just couldn't stop puffing and enjoying. Very easy to smoke - a great choice for beginners - with smooth, creamy smoke (smoke volume not that great though) and the aromas. Oh my of my. Such breezy summerish aromas. Hints of fruits - getting sweeter in the second part - nutty and also chocolate and coffee towards the 2nd and 3rd part. Felt in love with it - so I will put it in my "The Shiznit" humidor. Also see it as a light day to day smoke - goes well with light drinks like juices, coffee, wine., All in all it felt like a nice evening with my sister over a nice glass of wine. Warm, cozy, relaxed and all sprinkled with giggles here and there. 100% recommendation for at least one try. Peace and love!

Another disappointment by Vega Fina -and I think this will be the last I smoke. Duration: approx 110 minutes. Maybe it was just my cigar, but construction was less than decent for the price. The draw side started to crack (just bought it and kept in the humidor for a few days) and towards the end it was hard to smoke. I had to put it out before it's time. Smoke volume and creaminess are great indeed, but the flavours are just a mix that for me doesn't work. It felt like an attempt to try too hard, which only results in a "nice try". For the price there's much much better options out there. I've smoked better ones at half the price, so Vega Fina my friend I think we will not see each other too soon nor too often. All in all it felt like those products you see on bulk sales Chinese websites - looking great in the pictures and "good" reviews - but if you order the product you will end up with some cheap plastic that's nowhere near what you thought it would be. From my side a big NO. Peace and love!

Quite an aromatic and tasty cigar and surprisingly good for the price. Smoking time: approx 110 minutes. Construction quality so-so but not really bad. Ash won't stay long before it falls down. Density is decent - but the amount of smoke and milkiness of it is pretty good. Nothing impressive with this cigar, but cannot complain too much either with this price. Would I ever try it again? Probably not. Am I sorry for trying it? Absolutely not. All in all - it's like a Sneakers when you're a bit hungry and into something sweet. Some cheap crap that does the job just fine. Oh wow, Maria mi amor! An exceptional day-to-day cigar. smoking time: approx 70 minutes. A little bit difficult to light up at first (unless you want to cut the starting tip) but oh my what a delicious smoke. First of all the cigar looks absolutely fabulous. Attention to details in every single aspect of it. Perfect built- carefully rolled - dense leaves - impeccable burn and excellent amount of milky white creamy smoke. It is lightish - very good for beginners too I'd say. The aromas are too strong, yet plenty. Slight grassy, creamy, coffee and chocolate and a honey sweet taste (not too strong). All in all this cigar reminded me of someone I never wanted to marry or bring home, yet wouldn't want to let go because of the coolness of the cat and the excellent chemistry. 100% recommendation for at least one try. This just won a place amongst my weekly smokes favourites. Will have at least one in my humidor from now on. Peace and love!

Pleasant surprise. Smoking duration: 70 minutes. Medium strength, decent creaminess and some flavours of wood-earth. Sounds boring I know - but the way this cigar is built manages to place it a bit above the average smoke. It is subtle and simple - yet very pleasant to smoke. Amount of smoke, ash resistance and construction are all great. Felt the first part was burning too fast, but maybe because I realised I would want to enjoy more of it. Will smoke it again for sure and I recommend it at least for one try. Might be a good candidate for a day to day smoke or at least once a week. All in all - feels like the perfect "accessory" you would like to have with you when going out and about. The type of smoke that goes well with anything you drink or eat. Peace and love!

Hard to judge. Smoked it for about 150 minutes. Took my time with it. Satisfied the smoker in me, but can't say it was an indulgence or anything special. Starts nutty - grassy and continues woods-toasty and ends in a full blown pepperish feel. Except the strong pepper taste at the end, the rest are barely noticeable, so not an aromatic delight. Then again not bad to smoke either. It's rather easy to smoke - won't kill your senses and the burning is decent. Amount of smoke pretty good and ash resistance more than decent too. All in all - felt like a weekend going out where nothing special happens but then again it's slightly better than just staying at home. Will I try it again? Maybe...why not. But not something to remember or to put it on any special lists. Decent price for the size though. Meh. Peace and love!

Oh wow what a great cigar! Definitely amongst may favourites now. A very mild cigar - perfect for beginners or for day to day smoke. Well built with an impressive wooden cover. The aromas are grassy -light pepper - and a vague fruity flavour. Creamy at some point and very pleasant to smoke. Great burn, nice ash formation and just enough amount of smoke to feel the beauty of it fully. I'd say it's definitely worth the price and for me this is one of the types I d always have in my humidor. Although big - it burns pretty fast - or maybe it was too good to put down to rest - total smoke duration was approx 90-100 minutes. All in all - made me feel like those days when everything I wear fits just well and makes me feel good. Or like a very good pair of Nike air max:) If you haven't tried it yet - go for it at least once. Peace and love!

I have received this as a gift from an awesome waiter at a tapas spot in Duesseldorf. What a cigar oh my oh my! Duration: 120 minutes. Construction, quality of wrapping, burning and ash resistance: all A++. The cigar is made super well. Fire wont go out easy and the amount of smoke is just right. Absolutely gorgeous construction. The only downside is the price. 7 Eur would be more appropriate considering other quality smokes at the same price range. Also - not something I would smoke every day and not even every week. Waaay too sweet for my taste. Feels like you are smoking candy and chocolate. All in all the cigar reminded me of childhood days, when my mom was preparing coca milk and I was waiving my tail like a little doggy ready to absorb it all. Will I have it again? Absolutely yes. Soon? Not too soon:) This feels like a "treat". Something you want to indulge yourself with once in a while. Definitely worth at least a try. Peace and love!

Vega Fina, Vega Fina. You promised so much, but did so little. Smoking duration: 60 minutes. Very well done cigar. Perfect burning -. the right amount of smoke - the ash lasts pretty much before falling and the burn is steady and nice. Looks good and burns good BUT. The taste... come on Vega Fina. A very mild cigar, but unfortunately with very mild aromas too. Might be harsh if I say it's a dull cigar, but... besides the great construction...there's nothing interesting with it. Definitely a good cigar for beginners, but if you want some character to your smoke ... nope. All in all - it is like that friend you have that falls for you and promises you the moon and the stars and everything seems right about them but... for some reason... they are just not your type, so you say "no, thank you.".
