Humidor Primary

I bought this stick on a whim, having the name back in my head. If anyone still thinks the Dunbarton Sobremesa is sweet tipped, they should taste this cigar. As soon as it touches the lips intense intense sugar. It is a well processed cigar, looking like a small firecracker with the pigtail on. The draw is good, but the flavor is something that either you like or you don't. Along with the intense sweetness, there is spice on the tongue and lips. interesting experiment, but not one that I will repeat.

Beautiful wrapper, held nice ash and burn through the first third. Near the end of the second third it started burning crooked and eventually put it self out.

A nice presentation, clean Connecticut wrapper. Unfortunately the wrapper cracked on the cut, no issue with taste but uncomfortable mouth feel when smoking. his cigar is on the stronger side for a Connecticut, but gave good creamy smoke and lots of it. Draw was a bit tight for my taste but not a showstopper. All in all a nice mid day enjoyment.

If i could choose one word to describe this cigar i would say "Hairy". The wrapper is covered in small fibers that other than look peculiar do not seem to bother. I really hope i got a dud because the draw in my cigar was tight, it had a 3mm hole in the middle (it was rolled that way) and produced very little smoke while getting noticeably hot. I have one more in my humidor, hopefully that one will be better, but for now, i cant recommend it. Update: The secon stick performed much better. Good construction, even burn, and plenty of smoke. Not experienced enough to talk about flaovr notes, but i enjoyed the second stick much more than the first

The photo does not give this cigar justice. The wrapper is shiny brown from the oil, and I love the embossed flower on the band, it works very nice. Format wise the cigar sits well in hand, it is evenly rolled and feels compacted. The cold draw points me to an issue, the draw is too tight for me. Still sweetens coming on the lips is obvious. After light up, it started burning wobbly in the first cm, but even after that for the whole smoke keeping ash in 3 cm intervals. The tight draw for the first 2 cm prevented production of much smoke, but one I was past the mark, boy did it start going! Large volumes of creamy sweet smoke were bellowing out. Strength on the mid plus mark, it does give pepper on the mouth and retro hale, but just enough to keep things interesting. Until the final third sweetness, creaminess and coffee were the main flavors I tasted. In the final third the sweet notes went away and leather took the stage. It started of with question marks, but finished with a bang. I like this.

The project 40 construction is even with a... well, natural tobacco color wrapper :). The cold smell gives some sweetness and grass. This stick had a perfect cold draw resistance, the cold draw giving some white pepper on the back of the throat. It takes fire well, and from the start i get some white pepper on the tongue, nuts, grassy notes, sweetness, and no pepper on the retro hale. It burns evenly and the grey ash fell after 2 cm, but very compact. In the second third some white pepper started to show on the retro hale, but the sweetness and nutty notes increased balancing nicely. The final third moved the strength from medium to medium plus, and introduced some leather. The sweetness gradually subdued until only leather remained in the last few puffs before i set it to rest. I was surprised about the relatively short smoking time for a Robusto, only 45 min. The wind might have something to play with that. For the 5.9 Eur it ticks all the boxes. I am looking forward to tasting the Maduro version as well.

The stick has somewhat of a rustic design, with a muted wrapper color. The cold smell reminded me of a barn or cellar. My stick had a bit of a tight draw, and the second cut broke the wrapper. Starts off mild at light up, no pepper, just a reminder of black coffee. After the first third pepper joins in the mouth as well as retro hale. Coffee and Pepper are the dominant flavors for me. The burn did require touching up after the first third, the ash was grey and stable. At 4.7eur I wouldn't buy it again.

Much better construction than the Diplomat version of this cigar. The thing that stood out to me was the razor sharp burn. The same dark oily wrapper and a classy band. This stick had excellent draw. Unlit it smells earthy and sweet. The taste profile for me was earth, sweetness, some slight espresso bitterness, and a bit of pepper on the tongue. The cigar has a linear taste profile, but picks up strength in the final third.

Thin, Bright, and very tasty! Although a departure from a standard cigar size, this is a very good short smoke. I still get the triple band pleasure, the wonderful nutty sweet smell and a lot of smoke volume coming from this small cigar! Keep in mind to puff regularly, a thin ring gauge tends to put itself out! The flavors im getting are a nuts, sweet note, and a very light white pepper on the retrohale. Smoking time is around 30-40 min, a short pleasure for any time of the day.

A large robusto with a dark rustic like wrapper and a "dark" sweet cold smell. When placed on the lips it leaves a slight bitter taste. My copy was rolled tightly but had a lighter draw than i prefer. I had to correct the burn in the first third, after wards it was ok. Medium strength smoke with good volume, flavors for me were mostly espresso with slight sweetness sporadically occurring.

I am very pleased by the Magnum 50. Usually i find Cuban cigars too sharp, but this is not the case here. The cigar is an example of a perfectly crafted Habano, no defects and a characteristic cold smell. Construction was even and the burn was consistent and straight throughout the whole cigar. It gave plenty of creamy smoke with one clearly defined flavor for me, a fresh ripe walnut. It is a specific zingy flavor that a freshly picked walnut gives on the mantle. Mild/Medium strength smoke with no bitter aftertaste. A true enjoyment!

The Intemperance has an interesting presentation, with the minimalistic band and the binder "peeking" on the foot. The wrapper is a bit gritty and with thin veins. Cold smeel does not give a lot of sweetens, same as the light up. When it comes to flavor, seetnes was absent for me, the taste reminded me of coffee. It kept that flavor profile throughout the smoke with pepper coming on the retro hale in the final third. Mine had an uneven burn that i had to touch up multiple times.

Ah how the sweet smelling cigar invites. The wrapper is smooth with thin veins in a deep brown color with ruby like red note. The cut is clean and cold draw is good. After light up a mild pepper on the retro hale. Soon it meellows down delivering a nice smooth smoke with a sweet like finish. It stays in that domain up to the band. As soon as i removed the band the pepper showed up again, the cigar picked up in strength and acquired a slight dirty finish. That still did not discourage me to smoke it to the nub. Very recommended.

Same as the Rotschild, the Titan has a nice construction and a classy presentation with the Cedar sleeve. Once out of its wrapping you are presented with a fine, smooth conneticut wrapper, rolled without bumps or soft spots. being a 60RG, you do need a bigger cutter to get this cigar ready to light. Toasting goes well and takes in light without issues. Mild smoke, good amount of smoke produced, and a slightly irregular burn (no need to touch up) and firm white ash forming on the end. I have noted before Conneticuts are not my thing, and so i wont comment the taste much. No bitterness, just not the taste profile i prefer.
