This is a very interesting cigar. Quesada is trying to capture the spirit of Oktoberfest in a cigar, and they seem to have managed to do that. The cigar starts off very salty, both cold and at first light. That quickly gives way to a bready flavour, with some hints of sweetness and sourness, but the salt lingering on the tongue and lips. This is the flavour throughout the rest of the stick, which by the way, mine lasted for 2 hours and 10 minutes! The flavour profile is very strange, until you put it all together that is. This cigar is meant to taste like a pretzel, and it does too! It pairs perfect with a nice Oktoberfest Beer, and the flavours aren't complex enough that you need to concentrate on it. Take this to the Biergarden and enjoy it with some good friends around to keep you company. Construction is flawless, perfect draw, perfect burn, flavours consistent but good throughout. I'll give this one a 91/100.

Auf der Wiesn war ich schon seit meinem 16. Lebensjahr nicht mehr, mögen tue ich sie auch nicht, aber das Konzept dieser Zigarre hat mich doch interessiert. Zunächst ist der Stick sehr ansehnlich, schöne Farbe (Brathendlkruste?) und hervorragend verarbeitet. Super Brandannahme, Asche vom feinsten und herausragend gerader Abbrand, der nur gegen Ende etwas wellig wird. Kaltgeruch recht sauer, was auch am Anfang den Geschmack dominiert. Nebenbei etwas Nussigkeit, die später zu einem ausgeprägteren Geschmack nach gebrannten Mandeln wird. Eine Süße spielt auch mit. Insgesamt muss ich sagen, dass ich mich nur bei dem Nussaroma etwas an das Oktoberfest erinnert gefühlt habe, wenngleich es auch Grillnoten gab, die aber keinem spezifischem Fleisch zuzuordnen waren. Dennoch ein wirklich gelungener Smoke, den ich nur empfehlen kann.
